This is a picture of a painting of an inanimate object I had to do for class. It is a green derby hat that I was going to wear for my costume on halloween. For this assignment I used a "9 x 11" canvas, and used purple, green, white, and black paint. I wanted the landscape of my painting to be pure purple so then it could make the image of the derby hat seem as if it were floating or would simply draw the viewers attention.

This is a picture of a color wheel. I used primary colors such as red,blue, and yellow. By following the instructions on this assignment I discovered that I was able to create multiple different colors by mixing primary colors.For example by mixing Red and Blue I was able to create the color purple, I also discovered that by mixing Yellow and Blue I was able to make Green. I feel as if this exercise taught me good painting techniques and it allowed me to brush up on my painting skills.
